The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained, but Police say he might have died of a suspected overdose as a needle was found in his arm. Police also said apparent heroin was found at the scene.

After been accused of breach of contract by his record label, YSG Entertainment Ltd, the record label through the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos has obtained an injunction restraining him from carrying out any activity such as; recording, releasing, distributing any composition, song, musical works or carrying out any activity as a recording or performing artist through or for the benefit of any person or organization other than YSG Entertainment Ltd or face the full wrath of the law.
