Academy Award Winner Philip Seymour Hoffman Found Dead In His Home


Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is dead. He was found dead in his New York City home today, Sunday, 2nd of February, 2014. The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained, but Police say he might have died of a suspected overdose as a needle was found in his arm. Police also said apparent heroin was found at the scene.
Here is a statement released shortly after his death by his family.

"We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you respect our privacy during this time of grieving.  Please keep Phil in your thoughts and prayers."  They statement read. 

He was 46. May his soul rest in peace.
